This letter is from my Mentor.
Rosemarie Greco, DW ( Wisdom House administrator) was invited to be a mentor for Wamogo H.S. student , Phillip Koenig in the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) of the University of Rochester. The program is offered through the Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Connecticut and meets at Northwestern
Community College in Winsted, CT.
Phillip Koenig is a 13 year old student at Wamogo High School near Litchfield, CT. He has developed a business plan to sell T-shirts in order to buy animal toys, blankets and towels to ship to various animal shelters and pounds around the USA. Philip is President and CEO of HELPING USA ANIMALS. His business needs donations to fill and ship these boxes. He is selling T-shirts as a fundraiser to accomplish his goal for the animals.
I encourage all animal lovers to support Philip and his organization, Helping USA Animals. His motto is " Have a heart and donate!"
You can donate through his website, www.helping-usa-animals.weebly.com .You may also email Philip at [email protected]. Donations can be mailed to Phillip Koenig, CEO, 38 Brush Hill Rd, Goshen, CT 06756.
Thank you for your support for this humanitarian cause and for promoting the entrepreneurship of this young man. Phillip has an amazing dedication for this work and has a great passion for caring for these animals in shelters and pounds.
ABOUT YEA!
Launched in 2004 at the University of Rochester, with the support of a grant from the Kauffman Foundation, YEA! focuses on a broad definition of entrepreneurship - the transformation of an idea into an enterprise that creates value. YEA! Teaches middle and high school students not only the importance and purpose of social and business entrepreneurship but also the process by which one establishes a business enterprise or social movement.
